I really enjoyed this movie, it was a lot better than I expected. I thought Jeffrey Dean Morgan did a excellent job and Natasha Calis was wonderful as Em, the daughter who becomes obsessed with the box.

It's not your typical ghost story and I think because Sam Raimi was one of the producers, people expected it to be really, really scary and while it was scary, it doesn't have a lot of blood and gore.

It reminds me of Drag Me to Hell, which was another Sam Raimi movie that wasn't really bloody or gory but yet it was scary and really good as well.

The ending makes me wonder if there will be a part 2. Give this movie a chance, I think if you watch it with a open mind, you will be pleasantly surprised at how good it really is and it will also make you think twice about buying stuff from a yard sale!

Spoiler Alert!! Many horror movies have horrible acting and the sets are bad, but this movie did a very good job. The tension from the family problems only added to the suspense of the movie.

The fact that Clyde was actually able to save his daughter, added another good plot point to the movie. The addition of the moths in a lot of the scenes gave the movie a more creepy vibe and added to the fear factor quite a lot.

The end of the movie was pretty good, and even though it ended with an open plot, I do not believe that this move needs any sort of sequel.

It's a good movie but the one thing that upset me was that this film isn't based on a true story its actually based on the 'allegedly true' story written by a guy who was selling an old wine cabinet for auction on ebay, yes people that's the story, of course if you actually say that the lustre comes right off.

The story keeps you interested and the characters are surprisingly likable. You can't help rooting for this family.

Most of the time I predicted the scenes before they arrived. Total waste of my time. The acting is quite good in this story about a dibbik box purchased at a garage sale and the evil spirit lurking within.

There is a credible family dynamic surrounding the story, and enough surprises to keep the viewer engaged throughout.

Also, the story telling stays away from really gory scenes or disgusting special effects. You never know what you can buy at a garage sale.
