Since I saw the series episodes were posted, I decided that I wanted to rewatch The Blind Banker because I always thought it was the most Sherlock Holmes like episode in the series.

That made the mystery doubly opaque, since the code was already making it difficult to figure out what was going on, especially since the format of the code made it puzzling as to why the criminals would do things that way.

Still, it was an enjoyable story, and I look forward to watching the original version of it. That said, this second in the series is not nearly as good as the first.

Gasp I know! I saw this in the library though and I wanted to read some standalone manga so I picked it up. I really liked the art style and I thought that Sherlock in particular was drawn well.

The humour was good but I can imagine it being better on tv spoken rather than written if I'm honest. The story wasn't the most interesting one but it also wasn't bad.

If anything, reading this has made me want to actually try Sherlock properly soon. The manga version of "The Blind Banker" episode I've read two volumes of the manga take on Sherlock now and didn't love either of them.

It is also expressive of the different looks of slyness and discovery that this actor brings to this Sherlock. The story is stock from the television and is a pretty standard smuggler detective story.

The humor of the actors on the television does translate well in some spots. I had one or two small lol chuckles reading through this.

I absolutely love the Sherlock Manga's. They follow the episodes but also give it a bit more glamour so to speak.

The artwork is crisp, detailed, and draws you in. It's not too busy and not too boring, it's just right. Everything translated well and the story flowed smoothly.
